During his recent state visit to the UK, Donald Trump had Kate Middleton as his dining partner. Then, according to a body language expert, something quite unexpected occurred.
Donald Trump and his wife Melania have been in the UK for several days on a prominent state visit. The British Royal Family, led by King Charles and Queen Camilla, welcomed the US president and first lady with much fanfare and ceremony.
Donald Trump was invited to the UK for the second time.
Trump also met with the Prime Minister of the UK, Keir Starmer, and on Thursday, they unveiled a tech agreement worth billions of pounds.
The invitation was extended to the White House in February, making Trump the first president in recent history to have a second state visit to the UK. Many have referred to it as a British charm offensive aimed at winning over President Trump.
Additionally, the Royal Family hosted a state banquet in Windsor for the US president and his wife.
Kate Middleton’s gesture to put Donald Trump in his place at the state banquet.
Trump had Kate Middleton sitting next to him at the table, and they both seemed to really enjoy each other’s company. Body language expert Bruce Durham mentioned that it might have even reached a point where Kate charmed the American president.
“Just look at how regal she appears, how poised she is – and [she’s] gazing at Donald Trump as if a playful, mischievous comment has been made,” Durham told the Mirror.
He continued: “This is significant because when has Donald Trump ever not been the dominant one? So something is happening here where either Kate influences him, or he has a thought process that leads him to raise his shoulders and pull back his head, with Kate taking the lead and Donald following behind.”
It’s been known for a while that Trump has a fondness for the British Royal Family. He also praised Kate during the state visit.
“To see Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine, looking so radiant, healthy, and beautiful is truly a great honor, thank you,” Donald Trump stated.
