A woman who was once called “The World’s Hairiest Girl” now often shaves the extra hair on her body and posts loving pictures with her new boyfriend.
Supatra “Natty” Susuphan, who is now 23 years old, has a rare genetic disorder known as Ambras Syndrome, or Werewolf Syndrome, which is a type of hypertrichosis that leads to too much hair growth.

Because of this condition, thick hair grows naturally on her face, ears, arms, legs, and back. This genetic condition has only affected about 50 people around the world since the Middle Ages. In the past, people with this condition were often treated like “werewolves.”
In 2010, the Guinness World Records named Susuphan the world’s hairiest girl. Even though she tried laser treatment, her hair kept growing a lot, so now she shaves her whole body.
Susuphan has talked about the teasing she faced at school, where kids called her names like Wolf Girl and Chewbacca. But her friends and family have always been there for her. She once told the Guinness World Records, “I don’t feel any different from anyone else, and I’ve got lots of friends at school… Being hairy makes me special. There were a few people who used to tease me and call me monkey face but they don’t do it anymore. I’m very used to this condition. I can’t feel the hair as it has always been like this. I don’t feel anything. It does sometimes make it hard to see when it gets long. I hope I will be cured one day.”
Her condition hasn’t stopped her from having a love life. In 2018, many news sources, like Metro and the Daily Mail, said that Susuphan married the “love of her life.” But now, it seems she has a new partner. Back in 2018, the then-teen shared sweet messages about her husband on social media, saying, “You’re not just my first love, you’re the love of my life.”
The young woman from Bangkok, Thailand, has been sharing pictures of her hair-free face on Facebook for several years, along with photos of her new partner, Suchada Poonlumpao. In December 2022, Susuphan celebrated their five-month anniversary by posting pictures of herself without facial hair next to Poonlumpao. Before this post, Susuphan had shared many cute photos and videos of the couple looking happy together.
Poonlumpao has shared a bunch of sweet photos on Facebook. We don’t really know how they met or what happened with Susuphan’s last relationship. But from what we see on their Facebook pages, it looks like they are in a “domestic partnership.”
