I love this scene because it tells me so much about each of them.
“Dirty Dancing,” a romantic dance film from 1987, has turned into a classic that many people love. It has motivated a lot of fans to take up dancing and try to imitate the dance moves from the film, especially the iconic lift scene.
Frances “Baby” Houseman, played by Jennifer Grey, and Johnny Castle, played by Patrick Swayze, are the main characters in this story. It’s about a girl who goes on vacation and ends up falling for a dance instructor she meets there.

Movies often have a bunch of mistakes and scenes that don’t end up in the final version. Some of these scenes never get shown in theaters, and there are reasons for that which many people might not get. Viewers can only check them out on their own later.
In this scene, we see Swayze and Grey acting as their characters. Johnny Castle is showing Frances Houseman some dance moves for their show at the Sheldrake. It really highlights their roles in the story.
Emile Ardolino, who was in charge of casting, asked that the players be able to dance.
Grey appeared to have a much better connection with Swayze than the other actors who were considered for the role.
