This remarkable woman has been recognized as “the world’s most beautiful grandmother” for many years, which will be no surprise once you see her stunning appearance. Yet, she’s also a perfect example that true beauty isn’t defined by youth.
Yazemeenah Rossi, born on December 21, 1955, in Corsica, France, has graced the covers of magazines worldwide. You might have even seen her in advertising campaigns, appreciating her presence without considering her age or identity.
Over the years, she’s also worked as an actress, featuring in films such as Timeless Beauty, Relevator, and The Grasslands.
Typically, aspiring models begin their careers working without pay or for minimal fees to build their portfolios. However, Yazemeenah’s breakthrough came much quicker, defying the norm.
Unlike most models, Yazemeenah didn’t start her career in her teens—she was already in her 30s when she entered the modeling world, at an age when most models are retiring.
Revealing the Secret to Her Beauty
Even in the early stages of her career, Yazemeenah proved that you don’t need to be young to model—a message she continued to demonstrate over the next three decades.
“I was a mother of two by the age of 20, working from home, designing clothes, knitting, and doing interior design for friends and clients. From my teenage years, I knew I wouldn’t work in an office or stay in one place all my life. Even while raising my children, I remained active and independent,” she shared in 2020.
Although she managed to maintain a successful modeling career, Yazemeenah believes the industry still primarily caters to younger individuals.
“There was a time when I hoped the industry would change, and we’d see more older models, but that hasn’t happened yet. I do think both men and women share concerns about aging, though men tend to speak less about it. No one enjoys watching their skin lose its youthful appearance, but growing older is beautiful because you become stronger with time,” she told Vice.
“Age is a state of mind. If you stay connected to your inner child, you can recharge and keep your energy. You need to maintain a playful, adventurous, and curious spirit,” she said, adding there are no “magic tricks” to maintaining youthful looks.
Many people assume Yazemeenah must have undergone cosmetic surgery to maintain her youthful appearance, especially as she approaches 70.
“I haven’t had any cosmetic surgery. The idea of going under the knife when I’m perfectly healthy just doesn’t make sense to me,” she said.
Throughout her life, Yazemeenah has been admired for accepting and embracing her natural beauty.
“I use oil on my skin and rapeseed oil on my hair. I exfoliate my skin weekly with olive oil and fine sugar, and I eat an avocado a day, along with organic meat and fish,” she revealed to The Potion Tree.
In December 2025, Yazemeenah will celebrate her 70th birthday. But she has no plans to slow down. She told The Daily Mail, “I will model until the end of my life,” and added, “But it’s not about modeling, it’s about witnessing beauty—energy makes us feel alive…”
