Marie Osmond’s daughter is all grown up – and she is the prettiest woman ever

Marie Osmond has navigated a lifetime immersed in the dazzling world of entertainment. As a singer, actress, and author, she has forged a remarkable career while nurturing a bustling family of eight children and numerous grandchildren.

Few stars have achieved such diverse success across multiple arenas as Marie. Revered not only for her enduring talent but also for her genuine connection with fans through social media, she has gracefully sustained a vibrant presence in show business for over five decades.

Marie Osmond has risen to international fame through her multifaceted talents—singing, dancing, acting, writing, and captivating audiences as a beloved talk show host and dynamic public speaker. Cherished across the globe, her charisma and warmth have made her a household name.

Now at 60, Marie shows no intention of slowing her pace. Surrounded by a devoted family, she supports her husband and daughters while continuing to radiate joy and inspiration worldwide.

Marie Osmond

Marie Osmond, alongside her brother Donny, stands as one of the most recognizable faces of the Mormon faith within the global entertainment arena—a duo that helped shape a generation’s cultural landscape.

Over the years, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has gradually shifted some of its doctrines regarding race and gender, with noticeable movement particularly in the past decade. Yet, despite these steps toward reform, the church remains under the magnifying glass of public scrutiny.

Currently, the Mormon church permits gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals to be members—so long as they embrace a life of celibacy. The official stance remains firmly opposed to same-sex marriage, with church leaders continuing to preach that same-sex relationships are fundamentally sinful, even as they signal a vague willingness to revisit certain policies in the future.

Against this backdrop of rigidity, Marie Osmond offered a strikingly heartfelt and human response to her own daughter Jessica’s coming out as a lesbian. Rather than bow to orthodoxy, Marie responded with clarity and love. Her unwavering support and open embrace of her daughter deeply moved fans, casting her as a beacon of compassion in a space often clouded by judgment.

Marie Osmond was born Oct. 13, 1959 in  Ogden, Utah. She was the only girl out of nine children, and already at a young age, she would be introduced to the world of show business.

Several of her brothers already sang on national television, and it wouldn’t be long until Marie also joined in. In 1962, The Osmonds were a regular act on The Andy Williams Show, and a couple of years later, still only a small child, Marie joined in.

Marie Osmond – career

Marie’s mother envisioned a musical path for her only daughter, inspired by the early stardom of her brother, Donny Osmond. Soon enough, Marie was poised to share the spotlight with him.

Signing with the family’s record label, she embarked on a solo career that began at just 12 years old. Her first recording session remains etched in her memory as “the most terrifying” moment of her young life.

“It was a full orchestra and rhythm section. I was the only Osmond girl—what if I failed?” she recounted in 2015 to Daily Mail. “I threw up, then I went in and sang.”

Unlike her brothers, who gravitated toward pop, Marie carved her niche in country music. At just 14, she released her debut single, Paper Roses, which blossomed into a sensational hit.

The song soared to No. 1 on the US country charts and climbed into the Top 5 on Billboard’s pop rankings. Not confined to America, Marie’s success crossed the Atlantic as Paper Roses reached No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart—cementing her status as a teenage star on both sides of the ocean.

Donny & Marie

A year later, Marie Osmond unveiled her debut album, My Little Corner of the World, which swiftly climbed into the Billboard country Top 40 that same year.

The burgeoning star was poised to escalate her career even further. Her captivating stage presence eventually led her to team up with her brother Donny, already a household name thanks to the success of The Osmonds. Together, they launched the iconic television variety show Donny & Marie.

Premiering on ABC in 1975, the show featured the siblings co-hosting and singing, capturing the hearts of viewers nationwide. Each episode traditionally closed with their signature song, May Tomorrow Be a Perfect Day, leaving audiences with a warm, hopeful farewell.

The program also welcomed a roster of illustrious guests, including legends like Chuck Berry, Paul Anka, Sonny & Cher, and Olivia Newton-John, among others, enriching the show’s vibrant tapestry.

Donny and Marie later rekindled their partnership on the Las Vegas stage, enchanting audiences for 11 years at the Flamingo Resort. Their final curtain call came in 2019, marking the end of an era for one of entertainment’s most beloved sibling duos.

Marie Osmond would move on to become an even more successful musician, reaching international stardom and fame. She’s a multiple platinum and gold selling artist, winning awards like a Country Music Association Awards (CMA).

She also has three New York Times Best-selling books and have toured all over the world performing live and also starring in Broadway performances.

Marie Osmond – family

In 2013, the Osmond family was collectively honored with a single star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, celebrating the enduring contributions of siblings Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Jimmy—and, naturally, Marie—for their decades-long impact on the entertainment world.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Marie built a large and loving family of her own. She is the mother to eight children—three biological and five adopted.

Marie has been married three times. In 1982, she tied the knot with basketball player Steve Lyle Craig, and a year later, they welcomed their son, Stephen Jr.

The couple separated in 1985, and in 1986, Marie remarried Brian Blosil. Together, they had two children and expanded their family by adopting five more, embracing a life rich in love and kinship.

Marie and Brian shared a son, Michael, whose tragic death by suicide in 2010 sent shockwaves through their family and fans alike. Remarkably, Marie returned to performing just weeks after this profound loss, a testament to her resilience.

“It was incredibly difficult to step back on stage only two weeks after he passed,” Marie Osmond revealed to Fox in 2013. “But I needed to show my children that I chose to keep living. It was an immense struggle, and we make sure to talk about it openly. I know many families don’t, but while I lost a son, my children lost a brother—and they still need time to heal.”

Re-married first husband

After two decades together, Marie and Brian ended their marriage in 2007. Fans were stunned when, just a few years later, Marie remarried her first husband, Steve Lyle Craig, in 2011. Remarkably, she wore the very same wedding gown from their 1982 ceremony.

In a surprising twist, the couple quietly rekindled their relationship for two years before going public. It was only when their son, Stephen Jr., was preparing to wed that they decided to make their reunion official once more.

“Stephen was getting married, and we realized we couldn’t attend our son’s wedding without being married ourselves,” Marie shared with People. “So, a few months before his big day, we tied the knot again. He joked he never thought it would happen—but it did!”

Reflecting on her second marriage, Marie explained, “You come to understand that many things you once held as vital aren’t really so. I cherish being with my husband. He’s the kindest man I know—always ready to serve and genuinely attentive to others’ needs.”

One of her daughters, Rachel, is now 31 years of age. And wow, does she look very much like her stunning mother!

Daughter Rachel

Rachel exchanged vows with Gabriel Krueger on Christmas Day, 2013, a love story that blossomed while she was attending the Illinois Institute of Art. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Rocket Jade, in August 2015, followed by their son, Wolf, born the previous July.

Shortly after Rocket Jade’s arrival, Marie Osmond shared a heartfelt photo featuring herself, Rachel, and the newborn, published by People magazine.

“I’m a Glamma again—two times grandma, twice as glamorous!” she joyfully proclaimed.

Rachel has carved out a career as a costume designer, even collaborating with her mother and uncle Donny during their Las Vegas show.

“She’s never one to settle,” Marie told Closer magazine. “She just completed a hair course and is already diving into another class.”

Through her Instagram, Marie often offers glimpses into the lives of her grandchildren. In August, her daughter Brianna and son-in-law David Schwep welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Mabel Amarantha, adding yet another bundle of joy to the family.

Several grandchildren

Grandmother Marie couldn’t resist sharing a tender photo of her newest granddaughter, accompanied by a heartfelt message.

“I’m truly overjoyed as I reflect on this precious addition to our family. I continually pray for my grandchildren—the next generation—that they face the world with courage and without fear,” Marie Osmond expressed with warmth.

As previously noted, Marie is a devoted member of the Mormon church.

In a 1978 interview with Barbara Walters, she was posed with challenging questions regarding the role of women within the church. Her response, unexpected to some, was both candid and revealing.

“Secondary, no. But you have to remember that you need a patriarch at the head of the home, and this is the way I feel. You need someone to run the home,” Osmond stated. “The woman is equally important, but when it comes to voicing opinions, that should be the man’s role.”

Daughter Jessica

It’s important to remember that these comments were made back in 1978, and much has evolved since then. Yet, Marie Osmond faced backlash when she openly acknowledged her daughter Jessica’s sexuality, a stance that diverged from traditional Mormon doctrines.

In an emotional interview with Fox, Marie revealed that she wept upon learning of Jessica’s orientation, concerned about the challenges her daughter might face in a world often harsh to those who differ.

Time and again, Osmond has stood as a steadfast advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, embracing her daughter unconditionally regardless of her sexual identity.

“That’s exactly it. I was deeply honored when Diane Sawyer named me Person of the Week, and I told her, ‘Diane, I love my daughter,’” Marie shared. “I cried when Jessica told me she was gay at 17 because I feared the judgment she would endure. I have many friends who are gay, and I never wanted my child to face that kind of prejudice.”

Beautiful words

Last June, Marie Osmond once again found reason to celebrate joyously. Sharing through her Instagram, she posted a series of heartfelt photos commemorating her daughter Jessica’s wedding to her wife, Sara.

Radiating pure affection, Marie beamed alongside the newlyweds, her smile brimming with love and pride for the beautiful couple.

“Congratulations to my beloved daughter Jessica and her wonderful wife Sara! I’m so grateful I could fly in for the day to share in such a joyous occasion. I couldn’t love you both more! Welcome to our family!” Marie Osmond joyfully expressed.

In October, Marie shared that Jessica was enjoying her life as a newlywed. “I’m happy that she has someone in her life with her, you know?” Marie told Closer. “It makes me happy.”

Marie Osmond – charity

Marie Osmond, now 60 years old, continues to thrive. She lives with her husband, Steve Craig, in a beautiful home in St. George, Utah.

Over the years, Marie has been deeply involved in charitable work. Recently, she revealed that she plans to leave all her money to charity rather than passing down a fortune to her children.

“My husband and I decided that you do a great disservice to your children to just hand them a fortune because you take away the one most important gift you can give your children, and that’s the ability to work,” she told Fox News.

In early September, it was announced that Marie would be leaving the daytime show The Talk. Despite this change, she expressed no sadness.

“Also, my husband and I just dropped our last two kids off at college, we looked at each other, laughed, and remembered we hadn’t been this alone together since 1982!! So, at this stage of my life, I’m looking forward to spending more time with him and visiting all the kids and grandkids,” Marie shared.

We hope to see more of Marie Osmond in the years ahead and wish her and her family all the best.
