Ariana Grande has ended her relationship with Wicked co-star Ethan Slater after nearly three years of dating, as reported by various sources.
The couple publicly announced their relationship in 2023, following the dissolution of her marriage to Dalton Gomez and Slater’s separation from his wife, Lily Jay.
However, reports from TMZ and People indicate that the couple actually separated ‘several months’ ago.
According to a source, the relationship remains ‘amicable’ and Grande and Slater continue to be friends.
A source informed People: “It’s amicable; they took ample time and careful thought before deciding to part ways.

They remain friends and continue to support each other. They have been quietly separated for several months.
The unnamed source further stated that Grande is ‘doing well’ and has been channeling her efforts into her current Eternal Sunshine tour, which commenced this week and is set to conclude in London in September.
The 32-year-old is also preparing for the release of her new album, Petal, on 31 July.
Speculation regarding issues in the relationship first emerged in November, but was swiftly dismissed, with a source informing People that they are ‘making it work’ despite both being extremely busy with their careers.

“They both have a lot happening in their lives, yet their relationship is genuine,” the source remarked at that time. “They are extremely supportive of each other’s professional endeavors and are thrilled for everyone to witness their new film.”
In a 2024 interview with Vanity Fair, Grande expressed her admiration for Slater, stating: “No one on this planet exerts more effort or stretches themselves thinner to support the individuals they love and care for. There is no one on this planet with a heart as good as his.”
Slater seemed equally enamored in October 2024 when GQ inquired about his feelings of ‘falling in love’ with his co-star. He responded with a blush, saying: “It was an incredible year and a truly beautiful experience, and I am just really excited. I am genuinely, very proud of Ari and the work she has accomplished on this.”
Neither Grande nor Slater has yet addressed the reports.
