Carrie Underwood Reflects on Her Las Vegas Residency: “It’s Been So Much Fun”

Carrie Underwood is preparing to wrap up the final shows of her Reflection residency in Las Vegas.

The country music star began her performances at the Resorts World Theatre in December 2021 and will soon conclude her run after an unforgettable experience in the entertainment capital.

Throughout her residency, Underwood has delighted audiences with some of her biggest hits, such as “Before He Cheats,” “Something in the Water,” and “Good Girl.”

“I’ve always enjoyed touring, but having the opportunity to perform in one place for an extended period of time has been incredibly rewarding,” Underwood shared in an interview with PEOPLE. “It’s been amazing to perform for people who travel to Las Vegas from all over the globe.”

By the time her final show rolls around, Underwood will have performed 72 times during the residency, marking a significant milestone in her career.

The residency has also given her the opportunity to push creative boundaries she couldn’t do while on the road. “We’ve always aimed for high production value in our shows, but Reflection allowed us to take that to a whole new level,” she revealed. “With Las Vegas, we were able to use incredible set pieces that we could never transport from city to city, and it’s been such a blast incorporating additional elements like aerialists and dancers, which is something we don’t typically feature.”

Even though the residency is coming to an end, Underwood has made sure fans still have a way to relive the magic. In January, she released a television special featuring footage from her Las Vegas shows, which is available for streaming on Hulu and Disney+.

Saying goodbye to Las Vegas is bittersweet for Underwood, but it’s understandable given her packed schedule. She’s currently a judge on American Idol this season, actively participating in discovering the next big star.

The final stretch of Carrie Underwood’s residency kicked off on March 26, with additional dates on March 28, March 29, April 2, April 4, April 5, April 9, April 11, and April 12.
