Rosie O’Donnell says Trump rigged the 2024 election

Rosie O’Donnell didn’t just mute Donald Trump — she exited stage left and crossed the Atlantic.

Now calling Ireland home, the sharp-tongued comedian is far from silent when it comes to the former president and the chaotic aftermath of the 2024 election. In a scorched-earth TikTok that’s sending shockwaves through social media, Rosie pulled no punches:

“It’s very obvious that it was [rigged],” she declared with unwavering conviction.

By now, most have caught wind of Rosie’s grand departure. The former View firebrand and daytime television staple has officially relocated to the Emerald Isle — and she’s made it crystal clear that her decision wasn’t driven by wanderlust, but by one name alone: Donald J. Trump.

O’Donnell — who’s been locked in a bitter public feud with Trump since way back in 2006, when Twitter still wore egg avatars — said she simply couldn’t endure another term under his rule. So, when Trump triumphed over Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, she didn’t just air her fury on TikTok — she packed her bags and got out.

“I left on January 15,” O’Donnell revealed, “just five days before his swearing-in.”

Now settled overseas and reconnecting with her Celtic lineage — her grandparents hailed from the verdant folds of Ireland — Rosie has begun the formal journey to secure Irish citizenship. But while she may have crossed borders physically, she hasn’t checked out of the political fray — not even close.

”That was a good thing”

In a blistering TikTok uploaded on May 12, the 62-year-old actress best known for A League of Their Own unleashed a torrent of outrage aimed squarely at her long-standing adversary, branding the 2024 election as “very obviously” manipulated.

“If he confesses one more time that the election was rigged… seriously, how is he allowed to keep proclaiming this nonsense and yet no one steps in?” she questioned her audience, exasperation lacing her tone.

While O’Donnell refrained from citing a direct quote, her fiery commentary mirrored a sentiment echoed by many detractors — Trump’s baffling compulsion to blurt out incriminating proclamations. Case in point: back in March, speaking before a crowd, Trump declared with characteristic bravado:

“They rigged the election and I became president, so that was a good thing.”

The cryptic statement left listeners split — some convinced he was referencing the 2024 showdown, while others believed he was once again dredging up the contentious 2020 race, which handed victory to Joe Biden.

Either way, Trump’s habit of weaving bombast with bewildering admissions has kept the political landscape crackling with tension — and given Rosie O’Donnell no shortage of fuel for her fire.

Stoking the embers of controversy even further, Trump extended a peculiar gesture of gratitude to Elon Musk, crediting him with an ambiguous form of technological assistance. During a so-called “victory” gathering in Washington, D.C., on January 19, 2025, Trump delivered a remark that sent conspiracy circles spiraling and skeptics arching their brows in disbelief:

“He understands those machines better than anyone — all of them, every one of those vote-tallying machines. And somehow, we took Pennsylvania by storm, a total wipeout. So yeah, it turned out pretty well, pretty well. Big thanks to Elon.”

The insinuation, veiled though it may be, ricocheted through social media and newsrooms alike — igniting new rounds of speculation, suspicion, and sharp-tongued critique.

”He keeps saying it..”

Though the margin separating Trump from Kamala Harris in the popular vote was a mere 1.5%, he continues to trumpet it as though it were an overwhelming triumph — a “landslide,” in his parlance.

Despite the absence of substantive proof hinting at electoral sabotage — and with legal contentions crumbling beneath judicial scrutiny — Rosie O’Donnell remains staunch in her disbelief.

“It’s glaringly transparent,” she remarked. “It’s as though he’s gripped by a cognitive unraveling — some strain of mental erosion that compels him to unwittingly confess his own misdeeds, over and over, as he always has. It’s maddeningly relentless.”

For Rosie, this isn’t some remote policy squabble — it’s a matter steeped in personal anguish.

In a heartfelt reflection back in March, she laid bare her soul-worn reason for leaving America’s shores:

“When the soil of America becomes a place where all citizens can tread equally, only then will we contemplate returning. Witnessing the disintegration of civil liberties has torn me apart — not just politically, but at the core of who I am. The personal and political are inextricably intertwined — as anyone with a pulse knows.”

While Rosie O’Donnell now finds herself nestled among the mist-cloaked meadows of Ireland, her fervor for political justice remains untempered — if anything, it burns more incandescent than ever. And if Donald Trump believed her voice would fade into the backdrop, he’s sorely mistaken.
