Ask any parent and they will tell you, it isn’t always easy to juggle everything that you have to do in your busy life. Not only do you have the responsibility of caring for your child, you also have work responsibilities that need to be cared for as well.
One person who understands this very well is the White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt. As the Press Secretary, she is very busy with her duties around the Oval Office but as a new mother, she is busy with that responsibility every day.
27-year-old Karoline Leavitt shared a photo carousel on social media that depicted life in the West Wing. It showed her having conversations with Elon Musk and holding her infant son, Niko in the Oval Office.
The post was captioned: “The first 100 days: mom & press sec edition” and after it was online, many followers began giving their words of support. They were so happy that she balanced the responsibilities of motherhood with a demanding career.
Niko was born in July 2024 to Leavitt and her husband, 60-year-old real estate magnate Nicolas Riccio. That was only months before she began her duties as the White House Press Secretary under the Trump administration.
Leavitt has talked about life off-camera, saying that is important for her to be there for her family and her son. She said: “I try to make it home for bedtime as much as I can throughout the week.
She also spoke about some of the challenges she faces, including: “I think every working mother understands the demands. No matter where you are, what you’re doing, there is a sense of guilt.”
It’s nice to see that she has found the balance that she needs. She’s a good example for the rest of us.
