Watching your child graduate from high school or college is one of the most memorable experiences for any parent.
Those who have been there know the overwhelming pride and joy that fills your heart when your child achieves a goal they’ve worked so hard for.
In 2018, Texas dad Dennis Roach must have felt even more joy when he recreated a photo from 2000 of his daughter after her graduation, and it brought smiles to people all over the world.
Back in 2000, Dennis celebrated his own high school graduation with his little daughter Tori, which was a truly special moment.
They took a picture together, and Dennis gave Tori a sweet kiss, marking the significance of that day.
Fast forward to 2018, and it was Tori’s turn to graduate from high school.
Of course, Dennis was there to celebrate, and they came up with the clever idea to take a new photo that mirrored the one from eighteen years earlier.
In the new picture, Tori was once again in her father’s arms, receiving another kiss on the cheek.
The photos from 2000 and 2018 that Tori shared on Twitter were loved by many, and the positive response was beyond anyone’s expectations.

Tori posted a photo with the caption, “18 years later.” It quickly gained almost 150,000 likes and 57,000 shares, going viral in no time.
Many people shared their joy about the picture in the comments.
“This is the cutest thing ever,” one person wrote.
“It’s one of the best pictures I’ve ever seen,” another commented, sending good wishes to Tori and her family.
“How beautiful…” a third person added.
What really caught everyone’s attention in the two images was how little Tori’s dad, Dennis, seemed to have aged over the years.

“How old is your dad?” someone asked. “He looks like he hasn’t aged at all.”
Another person joked, “Did you put your dad on ice until you got older?”
“Did your dad even get older, seriously?” a third person chimed in with a laugh.
Tori was surprised by how much attention her post received.
After finishing high school, she had to explain that her dad, who was 37 at the time, wasn’t single.
She also shared how proud Dennis was with People.
“When I woke up, my phone was buzzing with notifications. People were liking, commenting, and sharing again. My dad was really happy about it. Since we live in a small town, things like this don’t happen often. He said, ‘That’s amazing!'”
“I think not many people get to have that experience,” she added, “so it kind of brought my dad and me closer together.”
