Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s wife shares news on abducted children

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who started out as a comedian, became the president of Ukraine during the ongoing war with Russia. His wife, Olena Zelenska, has been by his side, supporting him through these tough times. Even with the war going on, Olena has worked hard to bring some normalcy back to Ukraine, focusing on improving children’s health and school meals before the conflict started.

Olena and Volodymyr first met in their hometown of Kryvyi Rih and got married in 2003. She is a writer and collaborated with Volodymyr on his popular comedy show, Servant of the People, which ended when he took office in 2019. When the war broke out in 2022, Olena and their children chose to stay in Ukraine, showing their strong support. She has talked about how their relationship has changed, with long times apart for safety reasons, but they still feel close emotionally.

Olena is also raising awareness about serious issues like the kidnapping of children by Russia. She recently shared that over 19,000 children have been taken, but only 1,227 have been brought back home. She is pushing for international help to reunite these kids with their families.

Throughout the war, Olena has shown great strength and commitment to her country and family, stressing the importance of Ukraine’s victory and the safety of its people.
