Vance Family Relocated to a ‘Secure Location’ Following Protests at Vermont Ski Resort

Vice President JD Vance and his family were relocated to a “secure location” after they encountered a group of pro-Ukrainian protesters outside a ski resort in Vermont.

At Sugarbush Ski Resort, protesters were spotted holding signs that read “Vance is a traitor. Go ski in Russia,” and “JD Vance is Nazi scum,” as shared by Nana Sajaia, an associate producer at Fox News, on social media.

Additional posts revealed other signs with messages like, “Trump serves Putin,” and “Stand with Ukraine.”

To avoid the protesters, the Vance family reportedly skied on a different part of the mountain but eventually had to be moved to a “secure location” after witnessing the disturbance at the resort, according to Fox News.

One skier, speaking to the news outlet, called the protesters “f***ing morons.”

This protest occurred one day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was escorted out of the White House following a contentious meeting with President Donald Trump, Secretary Marco Rubio, and Vance in the Oval Office.

During the meeting, Vance expressed dissatisfaction with Zelensky’s behavior, calling it “disrespectful,” and suggested that the Ukrainian leader should be grateful for President Trump’s efforts to end the war with Russia.

Vance remarked, “With respect, I think it’s disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media. Right now, you’re forcing conscripts to the front lines due to manpower issues. You should be thanking the president for trying to end this conflict.”

When Zelensky implied that Ukraine had been left to fight alone against Russia, Trump countered by highlighting the United States’ substantial financial and military aid to Ukraine.

“You haven’t been alone,” Trump responded. “We gave you, through [our] stupid president, $350 billion. We gave you military equipment… If you didn’t have our military support, this war would have ended in two weeks.”

After the meeting, the White House confirmed that Zelensky left without finalizing a minerals agreement. Trump also posted on Truth Social, claiming that Zelensky was “not ready for Peace if America is involved,” adding that Zelensky could return when he was “ready for Peace.”

Trump stated, “We had a very meaningful meeting in the White House today. Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure. It’s amazing what comes out through emotion, and I have determined that President Zelensky is not ready for Peace if America is involved because he feels our involvement gives him a significant advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace.”
