Lipreader reveals William and Kate’s painful words on first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death

September 8th marked the 2nd anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s passing.

As expected, members of the Firm attended church prayers and laid flowers to commemorate the late queen who was the head of the monarchy longer than any other monarch in history.

Many people in Britain saw Queen Elizabeth II as more than just a leader who ruled for an amazing 70 years. To them, she was a source of strength and a caring figure, so her death caused a lot of sorrow and heartache.

When the news about her being sick came out in the media on the day she died, a lot of people came together and filled the streets of big cities all over the United Kingdom to show their support. Even more people showed up at Balmoral Castle, where the Queen spent her summers and where she passed away.

When members of the royalty started arriving one by one, everyone assumed the Queen was living her last moments. Sadly, that happened to be the truth which left millions of people from all around the world heartbroken.

Prior to her passing, media reported that the Queen was under medical supervision as her health was fragile.

BBC One suspended its regular program amid the concerns over Queen Elizabeth’s well-being.

Prime Minister Liz Tuss issued a statement saying that she received the news of the Queen’s passing around 4.30 p.m. local time.

We are all really sad about the news we just got from Balmoral. The passing of Queen Elizabeth II is a big surprise for our country and the whole world. She was a strong foundation for modern Britain, Truss mentioned.

“Our country has grown and flourished under her reign. Britain is the great country it is today because of her,” she added.

We are now a lively and successful country. No matter the challenges, Queen Elizabeth II gave us the support and strength we needed to keep going.

A close friend of the late Queen shared some details about her last days, saying that she was experiencing a lot of pain. They also mentioned that her vision and hearing had gotten much worse in the weeks before she passed away.

In the last years of her life, especially after her husband passed away in April 2021, the Queen experienced a lot of suffering, according to a source who was close to her, as reported by The Daily Beast.

“In the final months, of course, it got very much worse; by the time of the Platinum Jubilee, she couldn’t see very much, she couldn’t hear very much, and she was easily confused,” the friend of Queen Elizabeth added.

She hardly ever left her apartments in Windsor Castle. Coming out onto the balcony for the Jubilee was a huge challenge for her.

King Charles and Queen Elizabeth attended Crathie Kirk church for a private memorial prayer on Friday morning.

Charles expressed his gratitude to the country for honoring his late mother. In a message, the King said, “As we observe the first anniversary of Her Late Majesty’s passing and my becoming King, we fondly remember her long life, dedicated service, and the significance she held for so many of us.”

“I am deeply grateful, too, for the love and support that has been shown to my wife and myself during this year as we do our utmost to be of service to you all.”

Prince Harry, who was very close to his grandmother, attended the WellChild Awards in London and paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth.

Harry said, “You probably remember that I couldn’t make it to the awards last year because my grandmother died. She always would have been the first to tell me to come and be with all of you instead of staying home.”

“And that’s precisely why I know exactly one year on that she’s looking down on us tonight, happy we are together – continuing to spotlight such an incredible community.”

Before heading to Germany for the Invictus Games, Harry visited his grandmother’s resting place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on September 8.

William and Kate took part in a service remembering Queen Elizabeth at the historic St. David’s Cathedral.

As a tribute to the late Queen, Kate wore pearl and diamond earrings from the late Queen’s jewelry collection.

Pearls are one of the rare types of jewelry that people can wear when they are in mourning. They are closely associated with Queen Elizabeth and her collection of personal jewelry, as Bethan Holt, who wrote The Queen: 70 Years of Majestic Style, explained to People. Pearls represent not just the loss of a monarch but also the sadness of losing a grandmother or great-grandmother.

As the couple was walking out of the cathedral, they had the opportunity to talk to some people gathered outside, including Patricia Mquili Porter OBE, a local flying instructor. Lip-reader Jacqui Press reported that Mquili shared her memories of the Queen, and Kate responded by saying, “We all have wonderful memories of her, we have to hold on to them, cherish them,” according to the Daily Mail.

As Kate was signing the visitor’s book, a staff member showed her a beautiful message written in nice handwriting. Kate replied, “Absolutely! It’s amazing to see what they were feeling back then.”

“Some great memories of The Queen,” William added. Kate then smiled and noted that she “had to be conscious” of signing her signature.

The Prince and Princess of Wales talked to the press and shared some pictures of the late Queen Elizabeth. One picture showed her with her favorite corgis, and another captured her with her great-grandchildren at Balmoral Castle.

Today, we honor the amazing life and impact of our beloved Queen Elizabeth. We all feel your absence. W&C.
