Helen Mirren debuts shocking new hairstyle at Cannes Film Festival at 77 years old

Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren made a splash at the premiere of Jeanne du Barry on the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival, leaving everyone amazed with her fresh appearance.

At 77 years old, the talented actress, who has contributed so much to the film industry, showcased her one-of-a-kind fashion sense by dyeing her hair blue for the special event.

Her hair, which is usually grey because she likes to keep it natural, perfectly matched her stunning gown designed by Daniel Del Core.

Mirren styled her freshly dyed hair into a high Pouf, inspired by Marie Antoinette, to fit the movie’s French historical vibe. She completed her look with a silver choker and a fan that said “#WorthIt,” showing off her connection to her role as a L’Oreal ambassador.

Many people think the actress has outdone herself again with her beautiful and glamorous appearance, making her look like she stepped straight out of a fairytale.

Mirren’s stylist, Lee Harris, who shared a photo of the actress’ new look, wrote, “She knows how to make an entrance,” and we can’t agree more.

In 2019, Mirren caught everyone’s eye when she showed up with her hair dyed a pinkish color.

Last year, at the Cannes Film Festival, she wore super long white hair extensions and bold eyeliner for the screening of the film Mother And Son (Un Petit Frere).

At that event, she chose a stunning silver beaded gown and even danced with actress Andie MacDowell.

In 2021, she shared with Vogue that changing to gray hair was not hard for her. She explained, “It was really easy for me because I was always a blonde. I was a natural blonde, and even though it got darker sometimes, in the summer, it would turn almost white from the sun.” She added, “So, as my hair lost its color, it just looked like I had been in the sun all year long.”

One thing is certain, Mirren does follow the fashion trends and always looks spectacular.
