New information is surfacing regarding the death of Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter, Victoria Jones, who was found dead in the early hours of New Year’s Day at the age of 34.
Initial reports indicated that paramedics were called to the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco at approximately 2:52 a.m. yesterday morning. A spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department mentioned that “Bystanders were given instructions for CPR according to CAD records.”
According to new details from TMZ, Victoria’s body was first discovered by another hotel guest just hours into 2026, who reportedly mistook her for being intoxicated and passed out.
The outlet reports that she was found on the 14th floor of the Fairmont by the aforementioned guest, while the Daily Mail asserts that the guest subsequently alerted hotel staff.
However, when hotel personnel arrived, it quickly became evident that something was seriously amiss. With Victoria unresponsive, attempts to revive her commenced immediately.
A spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department stated: “On 1/1/26 at approximately 3:14 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to a hotel located on the 900 block of Mason street regarding a report of a deceased person.”
A source allegedly present at the location informed the Mail: “There were no indications of foul play, such as injuries to the body, and law enforcement did not discover any drug-related items at the site. Additionally, there were no indications that Victoria might have taken her own life.”
Following in her father’s footsteps, Victoria made her acting debut in the 2002 film Men in Black II. She subsequently appeared in One Tree Hill and in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, a movie directed by her father that also featured her stepmother, Dawn Laurel-Jones, who worked as the stills photographer for the project.
According to reports, Victoria had spent her recent years away from the public eye, although she did make several appearances with her father at various red carpet events.
