Study Reveals Secret: Your Body Knows When Death Is Near, And Where It All Begins

Even though we live in a world full of science, there are still some things about the human body that remain a mystery to scientists and doctors, like death. Our bodies are really complicated, so it’s not surprising that we don’t have all the answers.

Many of us know about the sixth sense, which is like having a special power to know what will happen before it actually does. Some people can even sense when someone is about to die. Scientists explain that when a person is close to death, their body begins to deteriorate.

A stinky and harmful smell called putrescine is let out. People can smell it without even thinking about it. Arnaud Weisman from the University of Kent’s School of Psychology in Canterbury, UK, and Ilana Shira from the Department of Behavioral Sciences at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AK, say that just like animals, humans can detect smells, and this ability helps us survive as a species.

The experiments done by these two researchers showed that when people smell putrescine, they tend to leave the area, similar to how animals sense danger and flee. Isn’t that kind of spooky?

There is more

Scents really help people pay more attention to their surroundings. For instance, there are special pheromones related to attraction that help bring people together for mating.

Putrescine is not the same as pheromones and actually seems to be the opposite of sexual pheromones. Scientists believe that most people usually don’t notice or connect feelings of fear or death with it, but is that really true?

It’s kind of frightening how someone can sense the idea of death, almost like it’s beyond what we can picture. However, we have to remember that human bodies and brains are unique, and figuring them all out is really challenging.
