However, many people struggle with their appearance because the fashion industry and media often promote a false image of perfection. This pressure makes some feel that their natural “imperfections” are flaws, leading them to turn to heavy makeup, injections, or even cosmetic surgery.
While most people are happy with small, precise touch-ups, others go all out with their transformations.
One such person is 24-year-old Andrea Ivanova, who is obsessed with the size of her lips.
Using hyaluronic acid lip injections, Andrea has dramatically enlarged her lips. Her life goal is to have the biggest lips in the world.
According to her own statement, she’s getting closer to that goal.
Andrea, who comes from Sofia—the capital and largest city of Bulgaria—has undergone 27 procedures so far, quadrupling the size of her lips, according to Unilad.
“I like them a lot and feel much better,” Andrea told Jam Press.
Spent about $5,000
Andrea’s unique lifestyle comes with a cost. Each lip injection in Bulgaria costs about $150, and so far, she has spent around $5,000 on lip enlargement, according to Malay Mail.
The young woman, who says she studied German philology at a university in Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital, isn’t done yet. Despite doctors advising against more procedures, Andrea wants to have the biggest lips in the world.
Although she doesn’t hold the official world record, she believes she already has the “biggest lips in the world.”
“Many men from all over the world write to me on my social media, offering money, trips, and invitations to meet,” she says.
Some of her followers, who seem knowledgeable on the topic, agree that no one has bigger lips than 22-year-old Andrea.
Challenges with eating
Andrea calls her lips “lovely” and expects more procedures ahead.
“Some doctors think I’ve had enough, but my doctor said he will do more injections if I wait at least two months,” she told the site.
She has had to make some sacrifices after the lip enlargements.
“I like my new lips a lot, but it was hard to eat right after the injection, and for two to three days after the procedure, eating was even more difficult. However, there are no restrictions on what I can eat,” she said.
Ignoring the critics
Andrea’s look is certainly eye-catching, but it’s her body and her choice. She receives a lot of hate online, which she mostly tries to ignore.
“I think everyone should look however they want,” she says.
