A group of 24 individuals has been permanently prohibited from traveling with Carnival Cruise Line after a large-scale fight broke out as passengers were leaving the Carnival Jubilee in Galveston, Texas.
While most people are familiar with airline no-fly lists, fewer know that similar restrictions exist in the cruise industry. This became apparent when chaos erupted among guests disembarking from a week-long Caribbean cruise, resulting in a significant brawl at the terminal.
The incident occurred on April 26 as travelers, returning from stops in Mexico and Honduras, were collecting their luggage. Video footage shared online captured the scene, showing suitcases scattered across the terminal and passengers physically fighting, with some being knocked to the ground as security staff tried to break up the altercation.

Although the exact cause of the dispute remains unknown, Carnival Cruise Line responded swiftly, placing 24 people involved in the fracas on its ‘Do Not Sail’ list-a move that effectively bans them from all future cruises with the company. The cruise line emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for disruptive behavior, stating that such actions jeopardize the safety and enjoyment of other guests and crew members.
The matter has been referred to law enforcement, with the Port of Galveston Police Department intervening and at least one individual reportedly facing arrest. The company reiterated that the incident took place under the authority of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and that any further investigation would be handled by the appropriate agencies.

Carnival’s decisive action underscores the increasing focus on security and passenger conduct within the cruise industry, particularly at major U.S. ports like Galveston. The enforcement of lifetime bans for those involved sends a clear message that misconduct will not be tolerated, and that cruise lines are committed to safeguarding the experience for all travelers.
